..... longtail
boats, tuks-tuks, palaces, temples and urban living in Bangkok ..... anicent
ruins and temples and a more rural Cambodian living in Siem Reap and Phnom Penh
..... many contrasts to be remembered.....
..... Tom and I found our
daily tour 'free-time' for local dinners and time to explore very exciting .....
on our own ..... just like the old days as young backpackers
.....
..... if you don't have a morning
vendor coffee on the street in Bangkok, you have missed a wonderful part of the
local culture ..... the same for Cambodia .....
..... from Roseville to
Bangkok to Siem Reap to Phnom Penh back to Bangkok ..... many experiences to
share with our family back in California ..... lifelong memories for Joan, Linda
and I .....
..... the first comment Lori
made seeing the anicent Angkor temples was amazing..... simply amazing .....
once part of the majestic Khmer empire ..... I wonder what life was like then
.....
..... this Roads2 vacation was over
too soon ..... so Sathien made arrangements with EVA Air to extend our
return flight ..... we explored more of Bangkok and Hua Hin
.....seeing both those 'must see'
things and those things 'only known by the locals' was great .....free-time to
wander and explore ..... small group travel .....
..... 2 countries in 10 days .....
Larry and I have decided to take the Roads2 tour to Laos and Hanoi next year
